The corporate world has become more global with businesses having offices and employing personnel worldwide.However, in order to become more successful in your professional career you will need to speak English more fluently. This will enable you to interact with colleagues, customers and other professionals in the international market more confidently giving you that edge.

English lessons for Business Professionals with The Class Above are provided by a qualified tutor with a neutral English accent, specialising in teaching English, as a second language (ESL), at an advanced level to committed professionals.
Lesson are held online. However, classes can be held at your place of work depending on the quantity of students for each class and the location of your business premises.
Lessons are on a 1-1 basis if online. Group lessons will be held at your place of work with a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 10 to get the best out of your requirements. Please contact me for any enquiries with regards to this

Qualifications
I hold a BSc degree with my dissertation on teaching English as a second language. I am a qualified TESOL/TEFL teacher. Other qualifications include SVQ training and assessing and Early years educator. I continue to keep my knowledge, learning amd teaching skills up to date by taking regular courses in the TEFL education field.
Travel
I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but have spent some time living and working abroad in Switzerland and Saudi Arabia and have travelled extensively in-between.
Career
My career in education started over twenty years ago and I have taught children from the age of two and a half years up to adults of sixty five. I have also been employed in the aviation industry as well as face to face customer sales.
Languages
I speak English, my native language, as well as French and German. I have also been teaching myself Spanish for the last two years so appreciate the challenges of learning a new language. By using different teaching techniques I minimise these challenges to make learning English easier, relaxed and more fun for you.
My teaching style
I am a friendly, experienced professional, specialising in ESL/TEFL English, with a passion for good grammar but believe this must be taught in a nurturing manner to help students improve their English communication to the best of their ability

A one off, 20 minute ‘Initial Meeting’ will kick start your professional English learning experience giving us the chance to meet and discuss what you would like to achieve over the course of your lessons. To book this session please click the 'Book A Lesson' button below.
LESSONS
Lessons are on a 1-1 basis giving you individual attention and enable us to concentrate on your particular needs. Provision can also be made for students wishing to study in a group. Group lessons will have a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 10 students. If there are less than 4 students the group lesson will not go ahead. The lesson duration is 60 minutes. This will give us plenty of time to really get to grips with that particular lesson. However, 30 minute lessons are also available. To get the best results from your lessons, a minimum of 3 x 60 minute lessons weekly are recommended. A regular lesson slot can be arranged by booking your lesson day and time in advance.
